Labyrinth by Tarah Scott

What's the genre? What is it you like or don't like about this cover? Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want to BUY the book? Discuss.

  1. I would think the genre would be historical/time travel novel. Very sexy cover would love to find out more about the book.

  2. On a purely hedonistic level, it's got Jimmy Thomas. That will make me pick it up and look at it closer. ;) The blurb makes me think it's time travel, and the images say it's Highlander or Scotland. The fact that the guy in the kissing pose at the top is different from the guy with the sword makes me think it might be about reincarnation. I'd give it more than one look, and probably open and read more.

  3. Another tossed together cover. let's grab three pieces of clip art and use them as jigsaw puzzles. It give it a very disjointed feeling because they are not very integrated together.

Genre makes me think romance with some sort of paranormal twist.

At lease I can read the text on this cover, but I'm not a huge fan of using that much of an outer glow on the text.

  4. I'm with you Eric. Stuff tossed together. There's no real focal point on this cover, which makes the eye kind of jump around. If you like Jimmy, make Jimmy the focus and forget the rest of it...

And the glows are super overdone.
