Twin-Bred by Karen A. Wyle
What's the genre? What is it you like or don't like about this cover? Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want to BUY the book? Discuss.
And, unfortunately, I do not like the illustration. I don't like the pink and blue colors or the glowey edge and it kind of creeps me out, but not in a good way. Also, the totally plain black background and the smallcaps font don't work so well for me either.
To me this cover says amateur and self-publish, and I'm sure that's not what the author wants to hear (wincing in sympathy!). I would ditch the illustration and go with something more referential rather than literal.
Sci-Fi.

The cover says to me Science Fiction.
ReplyDeleteI would also agree with Robin, this is not a strong cover. No offense to the author or artist.
The artwork does not look professional and the black background is just wasted space.
Quite possibly the worst book cover I've seen in my lifetime - and I've seen the Kindle Boards!
