Selected Shorts by Merrill Heath
What's the genre? What is it you like or don't like about this cover? Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want to BUY the book? Discuss.
Yeah, I think the spine on the side is just a mistake.
I kinda like it, only because I love old typewriters (I'm nutty like that :-)). But I agree with Eric - there's nothing to tell me what kinds of short stories are inside.
Altho - let me take a guess, by looking at the titles on the piece of paper - slice of life stories?
Well "Selected Shorts" is just a boring title. Maybe a better, more descriptive and dynamic title?
And, I'd probably change everything but the typewriter; the typewriter is serious cool. The typeface is boring and doesn't really go with the typewriter; how about American Typewriter type?
I will assume that the spine on the left hand side is a mistake with the scan of the cover, if this is the real cover then lose it.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to say this but the cover is boring, it does not help me know what kind of short stories there are inside, if there is a theme or style.
