Freudian Slip by Erica Orloff
What's the genre? What is it you like or don't like about this cover? Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want to BUY the book? Discuss.
Chic lit, and I'm not a huge fan of the cover art. Her pose is so uncomfortable looking as to almost seem anatomically impossible, as if they amputated her right leg (the leftmost in the photo) rotated it, then stuck it back on. Add the really high crop and it not only verges on tacky, but gives her chicken leg syndrome. Finally, to me the shoes just look cheap.
I do like the typefaces! Can't read any of the blurb.

Chick lit? Really?
ReplyDeleteLooks like erotica to me. My immediate reaction was: Ewww. But I assume it is erotica aimed at a male audience.
@J.R. Tomlin, you could be right. I was just thinking of the ubiquitous use of disembodied legs in chic lit.
ReplyDeleteI also would guess that this is Chick Lit, Romantic Comedy, but I could be very wrong. The cover does not make it clear what the book is about.
ReplyDeleteThe image I don't think help sell this book.
The text at the bottom is way to hard to read. I would suggest losing it.
