  2. I am a big judger of books by their cover. The cover gets the book off the shelf and then I read the blog. If it is not a good cover - unfortunately it stays on the shelf.

Would definitely be taking this one off the shelf. It is eye catching with lots of empty space and a ballerina right in the middle. I also love the colours and the font of the title.

  3. I think the young girl on the cover gives the book that YA feel. The fact that the 'RWA' tagline is at the top automatically gives the book away as having some sort of romantic element in it. The cover is simple, but the bright pink color scheme used is very eye-catching and makes you want to stop and look at the rest of the cover. I think that's a clever method.

  4. I meant to put that link in the post, Amanda. I've added it now.

    Great cover!

Logline: An international ballet star is recruited by the CIA and ends up falling in love with the assassin she's supposed to be spying on.

  5. I like the contrast of colors. The title looks like it came right from a top-secret file, and the author name looks type-written which fits into that spy/mystery theme. I think the pic of the dancer draws the reader in, thinking what is she so intent on? The background color promises something fun.

  7. I like this cover.

The image makes me think YA, the title type face makes me think mystery. Together I would have to go with YA - Mystery with a chick flavor.

  10. I've heard so much about this book already that I probably can't pretend to guess what it's about, but I'm chiming in to say I think the cover is a good match for the story and is eye-catching. Great cover, Amanda.
