  2. Over all this cover had a very good film noir look to it but it also has a few issues.

One is that the cover is very dark. Yes, this is the look, but a little brighter wouldn't hurt it.

The road and clouds are good but because of the placement of the text the lightning strike is hidden from view. If possible I would move it to the edge to have more impact.

The bullet hole I'm not sure works. When I first saw it in thumbnail I thought: "what is wrong with the moon." Might I suggest making it smaller and maybe adding a few more.

I don't like the broken glass look across the women's face. Is it really needed?

The bottom text is unreadable in thumbnail. It need something more to make it standout.

  3. Overall I like the cover and it does give a nice pulp fiction look. I'm just not carried away with her at all though; her head just kind of is there. I'd be tempted to do away with her and leave the rest, maybe making a pulp type treatment for the author name as well.

I had no problem seeing the bullet hole as a bullet hole. I didn't even know there was lightning until Eric mentioned it however.

  4. I like the overall look of this cover, but why is the model's face covered by the shadow of a chain link fence? I don't see the fence anywhere nearby and I find it distracting. It was the first thing I noticed.

Genre I'd guess to be mystery or suspense.
