Annie's Attic by Callie Hutton
What's the genre? What is it you like or don't like about this cover?
Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want
to BUY the book? Discuss.
The cover is kind of small and some items are hard to make out, but it looks like a romance. Maybe with an old-fashioned theme. The cover is gorgeous and charming. A real eye-catcher. Love it!
I love the way the couple is smiling at each other! Since I'm a collector and love antiquing, the attic makes me want to spend hours looking around! The cover makes me want to read the book. Very nice.
Oh look. The "gratuitous fan squee club" is alive and well.
I can't even SEE the cover, much less critique it. It looks like a jumble of junk with some weird faces on it, can barely read the title, can't read anything else.
Very unique; I've never seen a cover similar to this one. I enjoy thrift shops, so my curiosity is piqued. The color scheme is warm and inviting. Congratulations on a beautiful cover, Callie. You should be very proud.
I agree that the cover is quite unique. I like the busy-ness of it--mimics a real attic. The items make me wonder about treasure and they make me think about what secrets might hide there. Very provocative!
I do like this cover, it is busy but that leads me to believe the novel will be fulfilling with details and the couple seem happy- this cover says light hearted romance to me
Love the cover and the warm colors. With the jumble of things on the front it makes me think of all the hidden and secret things that could be in an attic. Must be a romance with the happy couple on the front. I love it.

ReplyDeleteA charming collection of items, gives a real down home feel, looks like a homespun romance.
ReplyDeleteI don't normally like a busy cover, but knowing the setting for this story, it's expected and lends to the true story. Eclectic and fitting.

I love the cover. Screams sexy pirates and sea captains to me

ReplyDeleteRobin you are right on... Let's call these people the "squee club" because they are praising something that they CANT SEE!
ReplyDeleteThis cover is so small how could they possible judge it? It's only about 50 pixels by pixels.
Heck the cover is so small @julia thinks she see pirates mixed in.
Personally I'm going to not say anything about the quality of the cover because it's impossible for any REAL people to see if there is good or bad.
