Tom Fleck by Harry Nicholson
What's the genre? What is it you like or don't like about this cover? Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want to BUY the book? Discuss.
This somehow says modern fantasy to me. And I love, love, love the artwork.
I also like the typface and spacing here, and think it goes well with the cover. However, the T and K are difficult to read. So are the Cl and dden in Cleveland and Flodden. On Cleveland and Flodden, perhaps an ampersand might solve the issue. On the top? Perhaps a soft, subtle drop shadow.
The artwork is very nice, however, the font and font color are wrong. The color for the font is way too close to the color of the background. It's light blue letters on a light blue background. The text needs to POP off the screen. The three options are change the color, add a drop shadow or add an outline to the letters.
First of all, let me tell all that I’m currently reading this book. Therefore, i know a bit about the plot. This is my honest count on the first sight of this cover,
It somehow made me realise the true living of a man, a simple, ordinary but a lonely man living in his own world. I failed to see fantasy here; in my first sight of the cover I saw something deeper and larger than life.
So far to my knowledge that is what the book is about

The cover says fantasy, but not sure what type.
