Her Own Best Enemy by Cynthia Justin

What's the genre? What's the logline? What is it you like or don't like about this cover? Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want to BUY the book? Discuss.

  1. Contemporary Romance.

Like the cover; the overall color of the book ties in very nicely with the desert sand in the background. I figure the dude is a soldier (in Iraq, I'm guessing). I like the font selection; the curvy font on "Enemy" suggests, of course, that said soldier isn't really an enemy. :-) Maybe he's dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and that's when the bad side of him comes out? (Just sayin'.)

I'm not into romance, so I'm not in the demographic, but I really like this cover.

It looks like a romance story to me.

I would disagree with Nancy it doesn’t look like Iraq to me, but the Australia outback. I don’t know why it was the feeling the image gave me.

I would say that it’s a good cover if Cynthia is just trying to sell the romance. If she is also trying to sell a time period or location the cover doesn’t work.

Normally I don’t like thin fonts, but I think that this font works.
