Run by Blake Crouch

What's the genre? What is it you like or don't like about this cover? Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want to BUY the book? Discuss.

  1. You know I like the cover even though it's hard to make out what some of it is. I'm still not sure what that is behind the car. But I'd take a closer look at this if I was interested in a thriller. It looks thriller even without the genre on the cover. Nice use of the fonts imo too.

  2. I like this cover. I like the graphic and I like the font. But the description is what sold me on this one. It's terrific. I've had it on my TBR list for a while. Hope to get to it soon.

  4. I think that the cover is great. It really draws you in as you start to noice the blood on the car and the other little things.

  7. All thrillers are about flight from peril. Here is a car with a cracked windshield and what looks like blood on the window and hood. In the BG is following car. The setting is a narrow road, a confined space, one of the key thematic components of fight/flight in thrillers. It is also night, which is scarier than daytime. These are all subliminal elements that work because we pick up on several "tells" at once. The only thing that would sell this thriller more would be one of the characters in the lead car standing up through the moon roof and doing the Edvard Munch "scream" pose. Well done.
