Soul Stealer by Kimberly Troutte

What's the genre? What's the logline? What is it you like or don't like about this cover? Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want to BUY the book? Discuss.

  1. The cover looks good if this is an urban-fantasy-romance book. I would have to let the ladies here on the site comment if the image of the guy on the cover does anything for them. Does nothing for me but I'm not the target audience.

I would also point out that the large text really looks good and is easy to read. The title is almost taking up 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottom of the book and yet it does not hurt the cover. To other author's don't be afraid of larger text.

  2. Lady chiming in here.

This one looks like an urban fantasy to me too, or maybe paranormal romance. The colors and typography work well to create a dark, dangerous tone, and the model is OK (for some reason he makes me think of Barbie's Ken—maybe it's his pose and haircut).

The title makes it clear the book is about a man who steals souls. Heck, yeah, I want to read it.

The cover makes me want to buy the book.

  3. Either urban fantasy or para-romance.

    Looks good, either way.
