Midnight Sun by MJ Frederick

What's the genre? What is it you like or don't like about this cover? Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want to BUY the book? Discuss.

  1. I LOVE this cover! My initial guess was that it was a romance based off the couple. Then the boat and title made me think "Alaskan cruise". That alone intrigued me. I couldn't read the log line until I zoomed in and then realized it was split into two parts - the second part blends in next to the boat. But once I read both lines...well, I went out and bought it. I think that says it all. :)

  2. Beautiful cover that conveys contemporary romance with lots of adventure! I love arctic plots. Maybe they’re hunting something.

Congrats to the cover artist for a fantastic job!

  3. Very, very nicely done! The only quibble I have is the readability of the small text. I'm not sure the glow helps. I would have just made the small text white with perhaps a soft drop shadow behind it. But the overall composition, placement, photos, and type treatment is excellent.

  4. I like the combination of the hot (the couple/romance) and the cold (the snow and ice/arctic locale). It's a beautiful cover, and the story is wonderful too.

  6. Great cover. I'm with Robin and the others, for an e-book I would say lose the small text. It's too small to read and it takes away from the rest of the cover.

    Yes, this screams contemporary romance.

  7. Oooh! I love this cover. It's extremely well done and i don't even mind the small text because it was handled well. A cruise ship romance is my guess. Great job!

  8. Very nice. I know this is a smaller than normal size, which makes the blurb difficult to read. The only thing that struck me what that it looks like the people in the pic are asleep. But the entire picture leaves a feeling a great promise within the pages.
