  2. Wow, nice cover! The image is beautiful and the colors are great. Very vibrant and exotic looking. nice design overall. The only thing that bothers me is the authors name written across the models' heads. It might look better at the bottom. But i think the title is perfectly placed. My guess is that this is a paranormal romance

  3. Gorgeous cover...love the vibrant reds and the printing of the text. I'd agree with Karen that I think it's a paranormal romance with an extra oomph of sensual sexy heat. LOL..

  4. Gorgeous artwork. Overall it's a compelling cover. I'm gonna do a bit of nitpicking though.

I'm with Karen, don't especially like the author name over the foreheads. It's a little difficult to read and it takes away from their expression. I might move it to the very bottom and really let the couple take center stage. The title and subtitle are in a good typeface that matches the cover well, but they bug me a bit. I think it's a spacing thing. The "the" is hanging in midair, which looks odd since there's a baseline there for it to rest on. I like that it's smaller than "Betrayal," but I'd move it down. And Blood Hunter is oddly positioned. It's not lined up with either the left or the right of "Betrayal," it's not centered on the page either. I'd be tempted to increase letter spacing and make it span and equal "Betrayal" above it. Either that or move it WAY right or center it on the page.

Nice job overall! I would think paranormal romance.

  6. Boy, you can sure tell when something isn't your genre. On the other hand, since I am not this novel's audience, putting me right off the book is a good thing.

I am a bit curious what says paranormal? I would guess romance. I'm missing the paranormal element, but then I don't read either or not when they're straight. ;-)

  7. @J.R., to me what says paranormal is the "blood hunter" subtitle. That implies vamp or other urban fantasy type trope.

  8. The cover says paranormal / vampire / romance. I get this mostly from the title and sub title.

I think that this is a very good cover, but I do not like the skyline at the bottom. It doesn't help the cover and as Robin suggested it can be used to move the text off the peoples heads.

  9. Wow, gorgeous cover! Screams paranormal romance or urban fantasy to me, both from the sub-title, and the way the man could be taking a bite out of her neck. In fact, the main image is so compelling, it seems a shame to have the author's name over their foreheads. So if I was going to be really really picky, I'd move the author's name to the bottom, superimposed over the image of the city skyline.
