  1. Looks like contemporary fiction with a gritty side to it. I'd definitely take a look at that novel. It could be YA and I might be concerned about clarifying that. Very unusual but I think effective.

  2. Thanks so much J.R. It's a YA contemporary nitty gritty book and focuses on a teen learning to cope in the adult world when he's only 15.

  3. I really like this cover. Looks like contemporary YA. I love how the boy is the focal point and really comes to the forefront of the image. I'd check out this book. :)

  4. The cover works for contemporary YA.

I can't think of anything that I would do different or make any suggestions.

Best of luck with your book.

  5. I really like this cover. It's different and eye catching. If I had one tiny suggestion, it might be to move your hero to the left just a bit, enough to crop off a bit of his shirt but not lose his impact. I'd want to do that in order to make the title a bit bigger; to me the title is a bit small.

  6. Thanks so much everyone - great comments. I'm glad you all liked it. Angela did a great job with this cover and the sequel, Off Limits, is also great.

  7. Chiming in a little late 'cos I've been away, but I would have said YA contemporary. I like this cover - it caught my eye for being just a little bit unusual for some reason. The boy's face drew me in, and I also like the graffiti-style title.
