The Brevity of Roses by Linda Cassidy Lewis

What's the genre? What is it you like or don't like about this cover? Does it make you want to know more about the book? Does it make you want to BUY the book? Discuss.

  1. Yes, I'd buy the book. The lyrical title is appealing and suits the smudged effect of the man running. The sun rising over the ocean hints at shortness of a day - much like the title hints at the shortness of both life and roses. I like the fonts used for both title and author name, which also tone in with the book title and picture: simple with a twist of the unusual. This cover both intrigues and soothes me.

  2. I like the artwork and I even like the off beat font, it's easy to read. However, I do not have a clue what this book is about. Is it about running? Is it about spiritualism? Romance? Is it a collection of poems? You see my point.

  3. I have the same problem as Eric. While the cover is nice and attractive, it doesn't give me a clue as to the genre. Romance? Poetry? Literary?

I have some doubt that it is attractive enough that I would take a closer look at it.

  4. I have the same problem as Eric and J.R. What's this book about? What genre? Of course, if I like the title and the cover art I usually read the back cover blurb and maybe the first page to decide if the book's for me.
