They don't fit the title - one or the other has gotta go. Is the devil a doctor? An HMO? Does he have blue or green eyes?

It IS a clean design of course, but that does not help a buyer trying to reach a decision. I'd have taken out all the color and one or the other of those sets of eyes. One set of eyes on a red background. Scalpel's fine - people react fearfully to them. Maybe along the lines that Eric suggested an indication that the red is actually blood, or flames, or both. It's almost as if she'll give too much away if we could see her straight on. Everything is well placed and the bold colors caught my attention. As did the title. Love it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-53549676692931075762012-01-11T12:20:33.414-08:002012-01-11T12:20:33.414-08:00Not sure of the genre but it's a clean, straig...Not sure of the genre but it's a clean, straightforward look as far as the design goes. Nothing fancy or artistic, just cropped faces. I would guess Romantic Suspence, but I did have to think about it for a while. It didn't jump out at me which I kind of prefer since I'm not sure how long potential readers are willing to spend figuring out genre.
]
But it is an attractive cover imo. The male and female faces in closeup make me think romance. The scalpel and title name make me think medical thriller.

I'm not sure I like her looking off to the left side while she's in the right corner, while his face is so much larger and looking straight ahead. If it's a medical thriller, I'd lose his face all together and put something else down there.

And with the typeface; I'd take off the emboss. It's not in style right now. If it's a romance, I'd say the typeface is okay but a bit thin; the red is kind of overwhelming the type. If it's a thriller, I'd go with something much bolder and in a sans-serif.Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14745547538571404846noreply@blogger.com
