No, to me that's Las Vegas.

Nice big apple butt, though. ;-)Nancy Beckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06214579721075450777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-43173421424427547662011-04-07T10:40:11.129-07:002011-04-07T10:40:11.129-07:00The image caught my eye and I assumed the title re...The image caught my eye and I assumed the title referred to the girl, not NYC. The blurb made me think of Vegas. So I completely missed the tie in to the Big Apple.

What I get from the cover is murder mysteries involving sex crimes. It's a little cheeky to me (no pun intended- ok so it was intended, I couldnt help it), with the apple/butt. I like the description though. I would buy on description you gave but not with the cover. sorry.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-73712698744893876902011-04-07T07:16:51.255-07:002011-04-07T07:16:51.255-07:00Pulp is what it's parodying.

I can't tell whether this is erotica or a murder mystery anthology or what.Amanda Bricenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-15910417622175546552011-04-07T06:46:14.859-07:002011-04-07T06:46:14.859-07:00I'm getting seriously mixed signals from this ...I'm getting seriously mixed signals from this one.

First look: Erotica. The pulpy feel from the figure with the apple red butt, the blocky retro font, say "sex" to me.

Second look: "Seven Deadly Stories from The City of Sin" ... huh? It's still pulpy but now it's .. what? Murder mysteries with a lot of semi naked women? And .. City of Sin? Where's that? The Rotten Apple connection to Big Apple sort of implies New York City, but I've never heard NYC called City of Sin. Las Vegas is "Sin City" but that's not what's on the cover.

I wouldn't buy this one because I tend not to buy anthologies, and crime/sex isn't in my genre preference.Nathan Lowellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09485325283120491298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-59537969145325087962011-04-07T05:50:17.718-07:002011-04-07T05:50:17.718-07:00In seven separate episodes, a New York detective t...In seven separate episodes, a New York detective tracks a modern day Jack the Ripper.

Just to give an example.S.J.
