He's awfully pretty. :-) It does seem to be a romance cover, probably a sweeter one.Elysahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10149532952197876886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-22334940328179003462012-01-30T03:52:03.070-08:002012-01-30T03:52:03.070-08:00I'd guess it to be a sweet romance. In fact without the naked couple kissing, I'd have thought inspirational romance based on the use of tree landscape.

In terms of colour composition and legibility of title and author name, I think it works. It also conveys the idea of a (sweet) romance. So it's effective.

But as far as romance novel covers go, I don't think it's the most attractive I've seen, and it probably won't stand out too strongly. As a reader, I might be drawn to this book if the blurb is catchy and/or if I've read the author before and like her previous work or she's recommended by a trusted friend.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-14090710610459543552012-01-29T17:06:46.708-08:002012-01-29T17:06:46.708-08:00It's a nice break from the passive, submissive...It's a nice break from the passive, submissive female covers one tends to see but it does look a bit boring--or like a really sweet romance. Probably a lot of people like the sweet romance thing though so if that's what it's going for it works. I agree that the title could stand out a little more.J. R. And yeah, it does sort of look like mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

I don't agree that the top banner should be 100% green but I do agree that the title doesn't stand out very much. And I'm not a huge fan of the script type used for the author name, mostly because it's hard to tell if it's Char Chaffin or Chaz Chaffin.

Overall it's .... okay. Sort of boring (sorry).Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14745547538571404846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-51565546634729344482012-01-29T10:33:58.469-08:002012-01-29T10:33:58.469-08:00OMG are those people drowning in the lake? Is that a genre?

My suggestion would be to make the title stand out more. The green on green is fading a bit into the back ground along with the text. I would say raise the opacity level maybe up to 100%Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11882910901554365995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-62986090474368902322012-01-29T09:51:03.636-08:002012-01-29T09:51:03.636-08:00I like the readability and font of the author name...I like the readability and font of the author name. Eye catching. The iamges on the cover don't evoke vacation read so much as a quiet weekend in the country read -- does that make sense?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-19248708415722733642012-01-29T06:02:06.790-08:002012-01-29T06:02:06.790-08:00Putting the title in a bar makes it easy to read w...Putting the title in a bar makes it easy to read without being distracting. Although I generally don't care for the use of cursive, I found that author's name is also easy to read. The genre is obviously romance, yet the kissing scene is a refreshing change from the usual man bending a woman over backwards. The photo evokes a tender feeling.

The colors of the sky and trees are bright and sharp and eye catching.Susan Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15752205335959990328noreply@blogger.com
