I don't ...Okay...I'm going to be blunt too. I don't like this cover. When writing in the paranormal genre, because of all that is in this market, you have to get creative. You want your book to stand out above the rest so your book will be the first one to draw in a reader's attention. This is just too dark, not enough contrast, and the only thing it says is that it's about a vampire. This particular vampire has been seen too many times across the world wide web too. Research your niche and look what's being done, then make yours better.BKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07479485624942106403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-11087798347183103862012-03-12T06:39:39.786-07:002012-03-12T06:39:39.786-07:00@Eric, I would be more likely go with a grunged sa...@Eric, I would be more likely go with a grunged sans serif font, something that has a heavy face and a light face.Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14745547538571404846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-52281159504146067792012-03-11T22:10:46.331-07:002012-03-11T22:10:46.331-07:00Robin, this is only a draft of the cover, but I ha...Robin, this is only a draft of the cover, but I have yet to find the correct font and I have tried out many. I don't like that the vampire's skull is cut off below the cheekbone. I don't care for the Paul Newman look-alike with the concrete hair. The over heavy glows on the text make poor type choice even worse. I would not pick this book up I'm afraid, even though I love Urban Fantasy.Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14745547538571404846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175053073870042983.post-64691661182625992152012-03-11T12:56:59.475-07:002012-03-11T12:56:59.475-07:00Well a vampire story, I would say. There is just something aesthetically not appealing about it to me, but I don't know that that matters. Someone who loves the bloodthirsty type of vampire story (not the twinkly type) might well take a look.J. R. Tomlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01109874615059334200noreply@blogger.com
